DescriptionThe programme in Purchasing Management (Fashion) is an area of specialisation on the Bachelor top-up programme. You learn to work with purchasing in an independent manner through research and development. You will be able to make an estimate of the financial and logistic parts of a company in the fashion and lifestyle sector and to handle both the internal and external negotiations. You acquire a profound knowledge of commercial and financial theories and learn how to put the business concept and strategy of a company into practice in an international market.

Career Opportunities  

With a BA degree specialising in Purchasing Management (Fashion), you have the skills to become a purchasing manager working with suppliers from all over the world. As time of delivery is just as important as the price and quality of the articles, it is your main responsibility to negotiate these factors to a satisfactory standard. Likewise, you supervise and keep track of processes and projects that can ensure the optimisation of the purchasing function and you will work with product and supplier development, negotiation and sourcing.

About the Degree

The top-up degree extends an already acquired Academy Profession programme to a related or prespecified bachelor level. The top-up option is only available to a subset of AP degrees and offered as a 90 ECTS supplement with a resulting degree of Professional Bachelor.

Admission  

To be admitted to this programme, you must hold a relevant Academy Profession degree, Bachelor degree or teachers exam. It is also possible for to apply if you have completed the 6th semester at The Danish Design School or from The Kolding School of Design. Read more about the requirements here.

In addition, documentation is required verifying that your proficiency in English is at a specified level. VIA University College accepts a range of international tests.

Tuition

There is a tuition fee for all full-time degree students from outside the EU, EEA, Switzerland and Turkey. 

The tuition fees are:
  • 1st semester: €5,500.
  • 2nd semester: €4,500.
  • 3rd semester: €5,500.
Students within an exchange programme are not required to pay tuition.
