Description

If you have a passion for languages this programme is for you!
The BA in Modern Languages and Intercultural Communication is the right choice for you if you want to work with people, culture, languages, language teaching, and intercultural communication.

The programme will train theoretical and practical aspects of language and provide you with the tools for solving language and communication problems in businesses and organizations as well as for teaching foreign languages to adults.

Career Opportunities

The BA in Modern Languages and Intercultural Communication provides you with qualifications in language, cultural understanding and communication. This profile will qualify you for employment as a language and communication specialist in private and public enterprises as well as in institutions and organizations in Denmark and abroad. In addition, you will be qualified for conducting in-house language training.

About the Degree

This programme is taught at SDU’s campus in Sønderborg, Alsion, which is SDU´s most international campus with students and staff from all over the world. You will hear a huge variety of languages spoken every day – most prominent in this mix are, however, English, Danish and German. The great advantage for the students in our programme is that German, Danish and English are not restricted to the classroom but are a natural means of communication outside the classroom as well. SDU at Sønderborg features
  • a friendly and supportive learning environment,
  • excellent library and IT facilities for students,
  • a beautiful location right on the waterfront,
  • short commutes, which leaves you more time for studying (and leisure).
  • a small but very lively student community.

Admission

Documentation may be required verifying that your proficiency in English is at a specified level. Please note that the programme requires an intensive course in Danish which the student must pass before classes begin in September.
