Danish Universities Top The World's Most International Universities 2017

According to the Times Higher Education ranking of the world’s most international universities, Denmark is no. 8 overall.

From the perspective that smaller countries need an international current to grow and evolve, Denmark shows that an international outlook benefits both society and students. Institutions with the strongest global connections have a ‘cultural disposition’ to think beyond borders and Denmark certainly does.

Denmark's average international score lands on an 8th place.

The University of Copenhagen secures the 29th spot while Aarhus University claims no. 35. This is quite the achievement considering considering there are 45.000 insitutions of higher education world wide:

Today’s universities are typically focused on attracting the best students and scholars from around the world, launching partnerships with overseas institutions and businesses, incentivising cross-border research collaborations and educating their students to become “global citizens”.

These outward-looking characteristics are a core attribute of the institutions that feature in a new Times Higher Education ranking of the world’s most international universities. The ranking is drawn largely from the “international outlook” pillar of the THE World University Rankings 2016-17, which covers international staff, students and co-authors. However, it also includes a measure of universities’ international reputations, taken from THE’s annual Academic Reputation Survey.
