Master programmes within the climate field
The following master programmes are eligible for applying for the COP15 Climate Scholarship. Please note the early deadline for application March 2009!
Agro-Environmental Management
The programme focuses on the pressure that agricultural production and climate changes put on nature and the environment.
Biosystems Engineering
This programme combines biology and technology. You specialise in either automation or environmental technology.
Environmental and Resource Management
This programme combines science and technology with social science. You will learn to identify and solve environmental problems while maintaining the balance between the environment, business and the society.
Environmental Chemistry and Health
In this programme, you will study the effects that harmful substances have to the environment and to humans. You will develop ways to avoid the adverse effects that chemical substances have on the environment and on the people's health.
Environmental Engineering
In the programme, you learn to prevent and solve environmental problems. You will study society's environmental concerns and learn how they can be resolved technically.
Environmental Management
The Master of Science Programme in Environmental Management at Aalborg University is directed at science and engineering students who are interested in topics related to sustainability and environmental management. The programme is designed to meet these new challenges, by integrating inputs from the social and human sciences into the study of planning and engineering. The focus is on how firms, governments, and other organisations can support sustainable development in an economically efficient and socially acceptable manner.
Sustainable Energy
You will learn about environmentally friendly energy techologies and systems. You can specialise in for example Electrical Energy Systems or Energy Savings.
Sustainable Energy Planning and Management
The global demand for sustainable energy, combined heat and power, and higher energy efficiency is growing rapidly. Utilities, local communities, and governmental authorities all over the world face new challenges in planning and implementing these technologies on local, national and international scales.
Technological and Socio-Economic Planning - TekSam
Environmental policy and the global challenge- international, regional and global perspectives
Thermal Energy and Process Engineering
The primary purpose of the educational programme in Thermal Energy and Process Engineering is to provide students with a basic knowledge within thermal, electrical and mechatronic control engineering, enabling students to understand the different energy engineering processes which found the basis for production, distribution and consumption of energy.
Wind Energy
Wind Energy is about using the energy of the wind. You will learn to design and develop windmills
Wind Power Systems
The primary purpose of the educational programme in Wind Power Systems is to provide students with a basic knowledge within thermal, electrical and mechatronic control engineering, enabling students to understand the different energy engineering processes which found the basis for production, distribution and consumption of energy.
